ICCF20 CONFERENCE HALL:

The conference will be held at the Sendai City Information & Industry Plaza housed in AER building which is conveniently located near Sendai Station. The AER building has various shops that include a huge book corner on its first 4 floors. The entrance of the building is on the first floor and the second floor: the second floor of this building is directly connected with the second floor exit of Sendai Station through the pedestrian deck.
The conference hall is on the fifth floor of the building. Participants use an escalator or elevators to go to the conference hall. However, the shops in the building open at 10:00 am, and the entrance is being closed before 10:00 am. Then the participants can use only elevators, since the people cannot enter the shopping area inside building before 10:00 am. In order to guide the participants to the hall, we arrange staffs (or students) near the entrance on the first and second floor from 9:00 to 10:00 am.

REGISTRATION AND WELCOME DRINK:

Registration will be held on Sunday, October 2 at the conference hall. The registration desk will open from 15:00 – 18:00 and the Welcome Drink will commence at 18:00 – 19:30 for registered participants and accompanying persons, refreshments and light meal will be provided in the conference hall.

CONFERENCE HALL AND ICCF20 DESK:

Both the oral and the poster presentations are performed in the conference hall: the area is separated by the partition wall between for the oral and the poster sessions. The coffee break is served in the area of the poster session.
The ICCF20 desk is located outside of the conference hall.

CONFERENCE EXCURSION:

The Matsushima sightseeing is planned as The Conference Excursion sightseeing in the afternoon on October 5. The Matsushima is known to be one of the three most scenic spots in Japan. Participants enjoy scenery of many small islands from the boat, and then tour the Zuiganji temple that was built by feudal lord Masamune Date in 1609.
The sightseeing bus will leave at 13:30 from East Gate Square of Sendai Station. The cost of the excursion is included in the registration fee (except for one-day registration).

BANQUET:

On Thursday, October 6, at 19:00 the Conference Banquet will be held at the Hotel Metropolitan Sendai, which is short 3-minute walk on the pedestrian deck from the Conference Hall. There is a performance of the Tsugaru shamisen (traditional musical instrument of Japan with strings) as an attraction.

HALF DAY TOUR FOR ACCOMPANYING PERSONS:

There are English guided tours provided for accompanying persons. Those who want to participate in the tour need to register by sending an e-mail in advance, and pay admission fee at the ICCF20 desk. Registration on the ICCF20 desk is also possible, if there is still room,

Tour 1: Tuesday, October 4, 13:20 – 17:00 ; 500 JPY for admission of Zuihoden
Minibus Tour to famous places associated with feudal lord Masamune Date who was the founder of Sendai of 400 years ago. The Minibus goes around Zuihoden mausoleum, Sendai castle site, Aobayabayama Campus of Tohoku University, and Osaki Hachiman Shrine. Participants meet at the conference hall and move to the East Gate Square of Sendai Station, where the minibus is waiting.

Tour 2: Thursday, October 6, 13:20 – 16:00 ; 1,100 JPY for admission of the museum
Walking Tour to Sendai City Museum: Sendai City Museum accommodates about 90,000 pieces of art craft materials and conveys the history and culture of Sendai domain in Edo Period (1603 – 1868). The special exhibition of the drawing in India ink of Sesshuu (Painter and Zen priest; 1420 – 1506) and Musashi Miyamoto (Swordsman and Author of the Book of Five Rings; 1584 – 1645) is exactly opened at this time. Participants meet at the conference hall and go to the museum by Sendai City Subway.

SATELLITE SYMPOSIUM IN CHINA

Before the ICCF20, a Satellite Symposium is scheduled from 28 to 30 September, 2016 at Xiamen University, China. The symposium is organized by Profs. Zhong-Qun Tian () and Xing-Zhong Li ().
